I've been busy being crafty....no scrapping unfortunately but have been playing with my scrap stash to create this
I loved creating this on Mother's Day. It took me most of the day and I just kept on layering and layering. I'm finding making these canvases really relaxing and instead of stressing about how it's going to look in the end I'm really just enjoying the process....which funnily enough makes the end result that much nicer! I might run some classes on this type of Collage/Mixed Media canvas over at ScrapLounge later in the year.
In other news I got to play with my new DSLR Camera last week and I had SOOOO much fun. My friend Tammy has started making her own range of children and baby clothes and they are THE MOST GORGEOUS little creations that you ever did see! So we took my three girls and her boy and girl down to the park for a photo shoot. Here are some of my faves from the day
All five kids did such a great job as models! Aren't the clothes just gorgeous? check out Tammy's Made it shop www.madeit.com.au/boorah she's got them for sale on there for way too cheap as far as I'm concerned because she puts so much work into each one and they're such great quality. So if you want anything from her shop get in quick before I manage to talk her into upping her prices to what they're actually worth lol.

What a long time it's been!!!
Can you believe it's been more than half a year since I last posted!!??! WOW how time flies. I was going to update a few photos of the girls but have lost my charger for my little camera so have to get a new one. I have photos on our new baby aka Digi SLR that Kevin splashed out and bought after he got back from the US with work last month but I can't get them uploaded to the computer because we need to install the program for it. For someone who owns a website I'm so not technically minded!!! Anyway here's a few LOs that I created in March at the fabulous Stick'n'Giggle Retreat
I really haven't done much scrapping since the retreat so I'm itching to get back into it. I have bought some of the new Sassafras Lass papers and I'm so in love with them that I just framed one of the papers as is...lol
Life's been very busy lately but from what I can tell it's the same for everyone so I won't start complaining about it here..lol.
Last week I went to the Stitches and Craft Show in Brisbane. The new Layout of the show is pretty cool. Lots of arty/crafty installations around the place. Not too many Scrapbooking stalls which was a bit disappointing although my bank account was happy about that. My absolute favourite part of the show as the 'Incubator' A new section of stalls that featured indie designers and crafters such as www.mixtape.com and www.dearfii.blogspot.com I could have stayed in this area all day. Lots of handmade stuff which is what I love!
I'll be back soon with some new photos...promise! In the meantime if you're in the Ipswich Qld area you absolutely MUST go visit the new Scrapbooking Shop at the Old Flour Mill in the Top of Town (Brisbane St). Jody is fulfilling her dream of opening a Shop front and she's done an amazing job at setting it all up. She's even been so lovely and is displaying my Paper collage canvases on the wall! Again...pictures will come soon!
